Troubleshoot sync issues.
Fix problems with Wahoo activity syncing. Note: Garmin activities cannot auto-sync — use FIT file upload for Garmin rides.
Most Wahoo sync issues come down to one of four buckets — a connection that's expired, a device that hasn't uploaded to Wahoo Cloud yet, a duplicate from two sources, or missing sensor data from the recording.
Quick check first, then walk through each issue.

- 02Check that your Wahoo connection is still active in Settings → Integrations.
- 03Try force closing and reopening the WattsUp app.
- 04Wait a few minutes — syncing can take time after completing an activity.
Garmin activities
Due to Garmin's Developer API policies, WattsUp cannot automatically sync activities from Garmin.

WattsUp connects to Garmin solely to push training plan workouts to your device — it cannot read activity data back. To get AI coaching feedback on Garmin rides, manually upload the .fit file.
Common Wahoo sync issues
"Activities not syncing from Wahoo"
Your ELEMNT device may not have synced to Wahoo Cloud yet, or WattsUp's permission may have expired.
Ensure your ELEMNT device has synced to Wahoo Cloud first. Go to Settings → Integrations → Wahoo and reconnect if needed. Verify your Wahoo device is connected to WiFi or paired with your phone.
"Old activities synced but not new ones"
Wahoo connection expired — periodic re-authentication is required for security.
Your Wahoo connection may have expired. Go to Settings → Integrations, disconnect and reconnect your Wahoo account. Check if you need to re-authorise WattsUp's access.
"Duplicate activities appearing"
Same activity imported from two sources (e.g. .fit upload and Wahoo auto-sync).
You may have uploaded a .fit file for an activity that also synced from Wahoo. Check if the same activity exists from multiple sources. You can delete duplicate activities by swiping left on them.
"Missing power data or heart rate"
Sensors weren't properly connected or the data wasn't recorded on the device.
Check the original activity in the Wahoo app has the data recorded. Some data fields may not be recorded by all devices. Ensure sensors were properly connected during the ride.
