Connect Wahoo, sync automatically.

Automatically sync your Wahoo workouts with your AI coach. Authorise once and every ride flows through within minutes of saving.

3 min read·Sep 22, 2026

Wahoo's API is solid and the sync is fast, usually under a minute after a ride finishes. You authorise once via the Wahoo OAuth screen and every ELEMNT, KICKR session, or SYSTM workout flows through automatically.

Same steps as Garmin: five to connect, and one more to send your first week of workouts.

How to connect

01

Open Settings

Open the WattsUp app and tap 'Settings', the last tab in the tab bar.

02

Open Wahoo

Under Connections, tap 'Wahoo'. Until you've linked your account, the row says 'Connect'.

03

Tap Connect

Tap 'Connect to Wahoo'. A sheet explains what happens next: tap 'Continue to Wahoo' to open Wahoo's sign-in page in your browser.

04

Authorise access

Sign in to your Wahoo account and authorise WattsUp to access your workout history and plans. You then come straight back to the app.

05

Let your rides come in

Back in WattsUp, the Wahoo page says 'Connected' and your recent Wahoo rides start importing, with a banner counting them as they land. After that, new rides sync automatically.

06

Send workouts to Wahoo

Once your training plan is running, open the Train tab and tap 'Sync your workouts' under your plan. Pick a week under 'WEEK'. If you've connected Garmin too, make sure Wahoo is selected under 'SYNC TO'. Then tap the sync button, for example 'Sync Week 1 to Wahoo'.

Important notes

A few things to know before syncing workouts to your Wahoo device.

01

— Sent workouts stay on Wahoo

When your plan changes, sync the week again: WattsUp replaces the workouts it sent before with the updated versions. Workouts you removed from your plan stay on Wahoo until you delete them there, so syncing one week at a time keeps stale sessions off your device.

02

— Syncing to your Wahoo device

After WattsUp pushes workouts to your Wahoo account, you'll need to sync them to your device using the Wahoo app. See Wahoo's official guide for instructions.

Three tips

1.

WattsUp reads your completed rides and sends the planned workouts you sync. The only workouts it ever replaces are ones it sent itself.

2.

Your coach uses your synced Wahoo rides for feedback and to adapt your plan. You can limit detailed ride analysis in Settings → Privacy & Security, and the Privacy Policy explains how your data is used.

3.

You can disconnect any time from the Wahoo page in Settings → Connections, and choose to delete the rides it synced.
