AI Coach Not Responding
Fix issues with your AI coach not responding to messages
Quick Checks First
- Check your internet connection is stable
- Ensure you have an active subscription (AI coach requires premium)
- Wait 30 seconds - responses can take time for complex questions
- Try force closing and reopening the app
Common Issues & Solutions
Message sent but no response
If your message was sent but the coach isn't responding:
- Wait 30-60 seconds - AI processing can take time
- Check if you see a "typing" indicator
- Verify your internet connection is stable
- Check if you've reached your message quota (free tier limit)
- Try sending a shorter, simpler message
- Force close the app and reopen
Error message when sending
If you see an error when trying to message:
- Check your subscription status in Settings → Profile
- Ensure you have a stable internet connection
- Check if the WattsUp service status is operational
- Try again in a few minutes - temporary service issues may occur
- Update to the latest app version
Response is cut off or incomplete
If responses are incomplete:
- Wait a moment - the response may still be loading
- Check if there's a "Continue" or "Show more" option
- Try asking the coach to continue or elaborate
- If persistent, try starting a new conversation
- Check your internet connection stability
Can't access AI coach at all
If you can't open or access the AI coach:
- Verify you have an active premium subscription
- Check Settings → Profile to see your subscription status
- Try logging out and back in
- Update the app to the latest version
- If your subscription is active but access denied, contact support
Coach responses don't make sense
If responses seem irrelevant or confusing:
- Try being more specific in your questions
- Provide context about your goals and current training
- Start a new conversation to reset the context
- Check if your profile information is up to date
- Try rephrasing your question differently
Reached message quota
If you've hit your message limit:
- Free tier has a limited number of messages per month
- Upgrade to premium for unlimited AI coach conversations
- Your quota resets at the start of each billing period
- Check Settings → Profile to see your current usage
AI Coach Subscription Requirements
The AI coach requires an active WattsUp subscription:
- Free tier: Limited messages per month
- Premium tier: Unlimited AI coach conversations
- Check your subscription status in Settings → Profile
- Upgrade anytime through the app
