WattsUp subscriptions are managed through your device's app store — Apple App Store on iOS, or Google Play on Android. Billing appears on your app store account statement, and your payment method is the one linked to your Apple ID or Google account.

To view your subscription: open the app → Settings → Profile. Your plan tier and status are shown at the top.

  1. 01Force close and reopen the app — it sometimes takes a moment to sync.
  2. 02Check your app store receipt to confirm payment went through.
  3. 03Ensure you're signed in with the same Apple ID (iOS) or Google account (Android) used for purchase.
  4. 04Wait a few minutes — subscription recognition can take time.

Common billing issues

Symptom · 01

"Subscription not showing as active"

Likely cause

Payment may not have synced yet, or you're signed in with a different Apple ID or Google account.

Fix

Force close and reopen the app. Check your app store receipt to confirm payment went through. On iOS: ensure you're signed in with the same Apple ID used to purchase. On Android: ensure you're signed into the same Google account. Try logging out and back into WattsUp.

Symptom · 02

"Payment failed or declined"

Likely cause

Card declined, expired, or insufficient funds.

Fix

Check your payment method in your app store settings. Ensure your card is valid and has sufficient funds. On iOS: Settings → Apple ID → Payment & Shipping. On Android: Play Store → Payment methods.

Symptom · 03

"Charged twice or unexpected charges"

Likely cause

Possible duplicate subscription or charges from a previous billing cycle.

Fix

Check if you have multiple active subscriptions. Review your app store purchase history. Contact Apple Support (iOS) or Google Play Support (Android) for refund requests — contact us at jerry@watts-up.app if the issue persists.

Symptom · 04

"Subscription shows expired but I didn't cancel"

Likely cause

Payment method may have failed, causing the subscription to lapse.

Fix

Check your app store subscription settings. Verify your payment method is valid and up to date. Look for failed payment notifications from Apple or Google. Re-subscribe through the app if the subscription lapsed.
